In 1999, Peggy co-founded Citizens For Veteran's Rights (www.cfvr.org) in an effort to help stop the privatization of veteran land, a nationwide issue that is now known as "The Land Grab". In 2001, she co-founded America's Veterans, a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation which will bring into existence The Living Wall©, a multi-media traveling exhibit honoring all living veterans, while bring awareness to who are veterans are and in what conditions they exist today. Partnering with the Library of Congress' Veteran History Project (www.loc.gov/vets), Peggy teaches adults and students alike, the importance of interviewing and archiving veteran interviews. An award winning photographer, Peggy has created, and participated in, many photography exhibits in an effort to bring attention to veteran issues. Secrets Behind The Wall: An American Indian Viet Nam Veteran's Private Battlefield At Home consists of over one hundred black and white images depicting the life of one Viet Nam veteran, while encompassing many veterans' lives. Debriefing, is an exhibit of photographs from several photographers, which include images of those who served in the military from WWII to present, images taken while in-country, images of Saigon 1969/70, and images of Viet Nam today. In November of 2008, America's Veterans will present Warriors: Protectors of the Earth, an exhibit that will feature a collection of artwork by Native American veterans. The exhibit will open at the National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum in Chicago and run through May 2009. The First Viet Nam Veterans Memorial in Angel Fire, New Mexico is one of several organizations that have collected Peggy's work for their permanent collections.
