In what's described as the largest ID theft ever, patient records, Social Security numbers, and even some credit card numbers from over 500,000 military users of the TriCare health system have been stolen, sparking a Pentagon probe and concerns in Congress. The computer theft was at the Phoenix offices of contractor TriWest Healthcare Alliance and has sent shivers through the military community, fearing a terrorism link. Bad news for TriWest: The Pentagon is considering other firms for future contracts.
