The Department of Defense announced today that Seaman Joshua McIntosh, 22, of Kingman, Ariz., died 26 June in Karbala, Iraq, from a non-hostile gunshot wound.

McIntosh was assigned to the Third Battalion, Seventh Marine Regiment, 29 Palms, Calif.

The incident is under investigation.
