The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

1st Lt. Debra A.Banaszak, 35, of Bloomington, Ill., died at Camp Victory, Kuwait, on Oct. 28, from noncombat related injuries. Banaszak was assigned to the Army National Guard's 1035th Maintenance Company, Jefferson Barracks, Mo. The incident is under investigation.
