The Department of Defense announced today the death of two Marines who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Cpl. Adam A. Galvez, 21, of Salt Lake City, Utah

Lance Cpl. Randy L. Newman, 21, of Bend, Ore.

Both Marines died Aug. 20 while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar province, Iraq.They were assigned to 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Twentynine Palms, Calif.
